Singer Anup Jalota will be seen in new look and in a different role in director Kawal Sharma's crime thriller film '' Black Birthday''. He is playing the role of ACP Jai Singh Rathore in it and the muhurat of the film was held on 6th Aug. at Bhullar Garden bunglow located at Madh. For the muhurat shot veteran actor Anjan Srivastav broke the auspicious coconut and Shakti Kapoor sounded the clapper board. Anup Jalota in uniform and new find Garima Jain faced the camera for the muhurat shot.
Speaking about his role in the film Anup Jalota said, ''this is for the first time in my life i have worn police uniform. It gives me the feeling of something special. Now i realise what uniform means when one wears it. It gives the sense of responsibility. I remember when i was 14 years old i used to wear army uniform to sing ''Ae mere watan ke logo...'' on Republic Day or Independence Day at AMC, Lucknow. After that now i got the chance to wear a uniform''. ''Black Birthday'' is jointly produced by Anup Jalota and Kawal Sharma under the banner of Film Farming Entertainment Network, India. The story of the film is written by Kawal Sharma and lyrics are penned by Kumar. Anup Jalota will score the music as well. Prince will crank the camera for the film and the star cast of the film includes Shakti Kapoor, Anjan Srivastav, Raju Kher, Adi Irani and Arun Bakshi. The lead man opposite Garima jain is to be finalised soon
